Glasphera is the first U.S. based company established to produce lightweight Expanded Glass Granulate from recycled glass. Our EGG material is an inert mineral that’s resistant to temperature fluctuations and chemical contact. Expanded Glass remains dimensionally stable in application. As a functional mineral Glasphera delivers ultra low unit weights, thermal insulation, noise absorption, and fire protection attributes.

Traditional applications for EGG in the Dry Mortar industry include tile adhesives, render/stucco, engineered cementitious composites, and self leveling underlayments. Due to EGG’s super low density (10.6-lbs/ft3) it’s a perfect choice for any dry “Pre-Packaged” cementitious product (ASTM-C387). Glasphera has a terrific circularity story as the material is coming from recycled glass feedstock. Five grain sizes ranging from 0.25mm- 8mm
